Wellness Summit

Share, connect, and learn at this year's summit

Students, campus practitioners, community partners, and other stakeholders will come together to hear from insightful speakers to instill our shared purpose in building healthy campus communities.

The Summit will consist of interactive sessions focused on meaningful discussion on the current state of mental health services on campuses, and together work-shopping solutions and opportunities to share experiences, strengthen partnerships, and coordinate integrated planning for health campuses.

Family Violence Awareness Week

Community organizations will have booths set up on campus to promote awareness about family violence. The Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter, the Sexual Assault Response Committee,  Medicine Hat Family Service, and Medicine Hat Victim Services are participating.

Stress Awareness Week

Community organizations will have booths set up on campus to promote stress reduction and provide information about mental health services they offer. Alberta Health Services (Addictions and Mental Health Services), The Canadian Mental Health Association Southeast Region, the Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter, and Be Fit for Life will be participating. Stress Awareness Activities happening on campus will include a pet therapy group, hula hooping, and yoga.  Pet Therapy will also be taking place on our Brooks Campus from 11:00am to 1:00pm on November 4th.
