Post-Secondary Student Mental Health: Guide to a Systemic Approach  

This guide provides a framework for addressing student mental health on post-secondary campuses. It was designed to be used a resource to support the development of mentally healthy campus communities. It supports self-assessment, strategic goals setting, and identifying campus strengths and circumstances. The framework supports development throughout each of the following

  • Institutional structure; organization, planning and policy

  • Supportive, inclusive campus climate and environment

  • Mental health awareness

  • Community capacity to respond to early indicators of student concern

  • Self-management and competencies and coping skills
