ACMHA-NCHA II: Alberta Province Executive Summary
America College Health Association  |  National College Health Assessment  (ACMHA-NCHA) is a national research survey to assist health service providers, health educations, counselors, and other campus stakeholders about the habits, behaviours & perceptions of students. Including both mental health and additions information. This reports looks exclusively at 4 Alberta campuses, with 5,122 respondents.

A Survey of Mental Health Services at Post-Secondary Institutions in Alberta  
This study explores the current state of campus mental health initiatives and services Alberta’s post-secondary campuses. They found that smaller campuses need to improve in identifying, monitoring, and offering certain mental health services. Their study suggests that a comprehensive strategy is required to evaluate and optimize service delivery of mental health services across the province.

This report provides a comprehensive and systemic description of addiction and mental health services in Alberta in relation to the population need. It explores:

  • The prevalence addictions and mental disorders;

  • Levels treatment in need within the community;

  • The kinds of treatments and services available throughout the province; and

  • The financial resources distributed in support of community and clinic services.
